Racism is actions, practices or beliefs, or social or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities. Source: wiki
If I choose to not comment, it is because I respect all the culture and different religious beliefs... and I choose to ignore the part which is not in sync with "21st century", or which I feel should improve over time.
Strangely, people don't discuss culture or life style to learn from the richness that it brings; they discuss it only to make one sound better than other.
I have family members with different religious belief (Hindu, Sikh, Christian...) coming from different States of India (Shimla, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, North East, Karnataka, AP...). How can one be better than other? The life style differs due to the geographical location - how is one better than other?
On the same note, how is it weird if someone choose to have a baby sooner/later? Or if someone choose to retire early/late in life. Or when someone decides to remain single. All these things are individual's choice. Yes, it can be different to yours and yes, it can be difficult to understand it as you are not in the same shoes - but discussing it would only mean that you think your way is THE ONLY (best) way!
One could be liberal or conservative in thinking - either ways, no ONE way is THE BEST way... Like I say, what works for one, not necessary is best for other.
It is just too sad when I'm in a group of people who are only busy discussing others "wrong way" - shouldn't one be looking at self before commenting on other's life's choices?
Well... I call it being rude and insensitive...
(continuously trying to refine my thoughts...no intention of becoming "rude" myself...)
