Mind Body and Soul...

Currently I do not have a career path (job) - so in a way there is something missing - hence cant say I have achieved it all. Why I need a career/job - well, so that I can earn money and do good with that for my parents and for other humans in need. So even though I'm at peace, I'm happy and satisfied - I'm not sitting idea - i'm working on achieving my goal. And that's the beauty of life - the ongoing process of working towards your goals.

I learnt this long long ago as a kid that the only way I can be AT PEACE is when I achieve the true balance of healthy Mind Body & Soul - unfortunately, having true peace is an on going process. One needs to keep on working towards it to maintain it. Like we need to take shower every day, to keep ourselves clean; we need to do the same everyday for our inner-self too. As on ongoing process, review your Mind, Body & Soul - keep it clean and you will be at peace.

1. MIND - Define what is food for your mind and what gives growth?
Does basic financial stability give peace to mind? Mostly, yes, it does. And one needs have a job/career to earn basic living - this is absolutely needed to sustain life on earth. The amount of growth one needs depends on what one wants to do with that money and power. So mind is at peace when we attain the growth or achieved the goals in our career/society.
This is an ongoing process, we keep setting new goals and we are at peace when we are progressing towards achieving it. So, keep reviewing your goals - follow Agile - might help.

2. BODYDefine what is food for your body and what will keep it healthy?
Healthy eating habit, exercise is the key. I try to work on all aspects - the inner and outer beauty - lot of water, long showers keeps the skin healthy. Balance diet to keep health strong. I spoiled my health by ignoring the basic rule - Garbage in - Garbage Out. I used to find it cool to say - "i eat anything" "no healthy boring food please"...
I learnt the hard way - thankfully, I had the support of family and time to gain back my health.

3. SOULDiscover what is food for your soul and what gives peace?
The much ignored, Soul. In the fast pace of life, most of us don't even think that the soul need food too. Our soul need pray & blessings of elders. Our soul needs clean clutter free air to breath. Our soul need positive energy in the space we work or live in.

Family and friends: Life is relatively easy when you have family and friends around to hear your heart and to encourage you, to guide you in the right direction, to support you. Its a blessing to have parents and in-laws (ELDERS) who are just full of love and blessing for you. And again, its a blessing to have true friends with whom you can play and enjoy the different stages of life. But more importantly, try not to hurt anyone. Remember, what goes around, comes around.

Parents blessings - THAT'S THE CORE. You have to walk that extra mile to get that. Elders play a very important role in our life. As per Hindu mythology and as per 10 commandments - You got to take care of elders (parents). Without their blessings, you will continue to struggle... think it over.

Clutter free house and life: I have always been a cleanliness freak. And it became more important after what I learnt from Feng-Shui. All it says is - the house should be able to breath ... :) ... each and ever space in the house including the hidden wardrobe, shelf, drawers, table... everything should be clutter free. And should be hygienically clean. I say, your space is a direct reflection of your inner self.
Keep the house or your space on this earth clean and simple, close to nature (dont trap or cage it, let it be natural). Anything which is pilling up for weeks or months - sort it out. Backlogs of any sort is a bundle of negative energy - get rid of all the negative energy. Same works for life - backlogs will always pull you down, pending chores will always make you loose your smile... Dont let that happen. Its a continuous and ongoing process - cleaning and keeping the air clean and free. Start with your extra storage space (if you have one) in the house (and every space eventually) - Ask yourself, what is in there? DO YOU NEED IT? DO YOU WANT IT? What is NOT needed - LET IT GO. Same applies for are deep feelings and thoughts (soul needs to be clutter free)- what is just lying in there for long and doing no good - let it go. Forget and forgive... and continue to review...

Social media...and its complexity

When we had limited ways and means of getting in touch with our family and friends, we needed mobile and internet technology - mobile phones, Internet-Social media, instant messaging apps etc... and now that we have all of these, a lot of people dont like to use it. I'll come back to this point.

Also notice, we have matured up from hand written letters and telegrams to emails and instant messaging. Of which, writing emails are now primarily for official use, or for information exchange etc... The time has also changed from the beautiful hand made greeting cards to eCards; again, I wonder how many people are still sending eCards?

So, coming back to my point, I'm 100% sure we need the social media but there exists some complexity to use it... as its not easy (though not impossible) to mirror the complex brain settings of real social life in to our, say, FaceBook settings.

Earlier, since there was only limited ways, the "complexity" was not there at all. If you wanted to be in touch with someone, you would just land up at his/her doorstep... or drop in a letter, make a telephone call... And if one did not want to speak to someone - it was just simple ;)

Let me put it this way - we needed mobile phones, Internet-Social media, instant messaging apps and we still definitely need it; in fact we are blessed to have it - BUT we need it only for the near and dear ones. For the rest of the world, we still want it to be "limited ways and means of getting in touch" (may be).

At times, its an obligation - you JUST DONT have an EXCUSE for why you didnt wish someone on his/her birthday? There are just so many means to reach out to anyone - if you dont wish to talk, you can just send a gift online ;) isn't it?

So, in my opinion, internet and mobile connectivity has eliminated the EXCUSE factor which we still want in some cases. And I hope the next generation social-media will have the user-friendly brain-mirror technology.

Sad that I have to write about this...

Racism is actions, practices or beliefs, or social or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities. Source: wiki

If I choose to not comment, it is because I respect all the culture and different religious beliefs... and I choose to ignore the part which is not in sync with "21st century", or which I feel should improve over time.

Strangely, people don't discuss culture or life style to learn from the richness that it brings; they discuss it only to make one sound better than other.

I have family members with different religious belief (Hindu, Sikh, Christian...) coming from different States of India (Shimla, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, North East, Karnataka, AP...). How can one be better than other? The life style differs due to the geographical location - how is one better than other?

On the same note, how is it weird if someone choose to have a baby sooner/later? Or if someone choose to retire early/late in life. Or when someone decides to remain single. All these things are individual's choice. Yes, it can be different to yours and yes, it can be difficult to understand it as you are not in the same shoes - but discussing it would only mean that you think your way is THE ONLY (best) way!

One could be liberal or conservative in thinking - either ways, no ONE way is THE BEST way... Like I say, what works for one, not necessary is best for other.

It is just too sad when I'm in a group of people who are only busy discussing others "wrong way" - shouldn't one be looking at self before commenting on other's life's choices?

Well... I call it being rude and insensitive...

(continuously trying to refine my thoughts...no intention of becoming "rude" myself...)

Price Tag

(Draft) I was just remembering 2 interesting characters from Amir Khan's movie (Bollywood).

Dil Chahta hai - the "Time Table Guy"... It's little weird when people are just too particular of their routine or habits. I too am a little particular and I am sure people find it annoying... ;) But then again, this can be debatable... the higher degree of "not flexible" can be annoying but at the same time if its not harming you, let it be...
- Take it easy when you are with others...

3 idiots - the "Price Tag guy"... Remember?  (The guy engaged to Kareena)... Apparently this type is very common. Their specialty - they end up price tagging each item! Which of course I find very annoying and at the same time amusing. I just find it too shallow. Wonder why they wont just wear the tag? Or put a label to the items at their place...Hmm...
- your price tagged item might not be of other's interest or approved standards...

I'm not very proud of this post but these thoughts did come across my mind... I dont intend to be judgmental. And sound shallow myself. But I definitely cant respect (or may be i should say, cant understand, to be polite) people who enjoys materialistic talk.

Right balance...

30th March 2014:

Health, wealth, love and peace of mind- the right balance in my opinion defines true success. One can't afford to keep ego before health - that's not path to success by the definition above.

Beauty of our existence...

5th April 2014: (Draft)

The beauty of our existence on earth is that all of us have a very different meaning/definition to life :)

The life style differs, the thought process differs... No two person or families have exactly 100% same fundas of life. And that's what is the awesomeness of life.

I suppose, our ways are right, until it starts to harm others (in any way) ...or start to disturb the basic pattern...

I have my moments of weakness, when I end up judging others on their "different than mine" style of living. But I do realize that life can be defined (lived) in various way (millions of permutation and combination that are possible)... So, what works for one person might not be the best for another (and might not be of any interest to another person).

Color (a little more)

Red

Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.
Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. It is a color found in many national flags.
Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions; it is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites. In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc). Red is widely used to indicate danger (high voltage signs, traffic lights). This color is also commonly associated with energy, so you can use it when promoting energy drinks, games, cars, items related to sports and high physical activity.
Light red represents joy, sexuality, passion, sensitivity, and love.
Pink signifies romance, love, and friendship. It denotes feminine qualities and passiveness.
Dark red is associated with vigor, willpower, rage, anger, leadership, courage, longing, malice, and wrath.
Brown suggests stability and denotes masculine qualities.
Reddish-brown is associated with harvest and fall.
It is also the color of love. Red clothing gets noticed and makes the wearer appear heavier. Since it is an extreme color, red clothing might not help people in negotiations or confrontations. Red cars are popular targets for thieves. In decorating, red is usually used as an accent. Decorators say that red furniture should be perfect since it will attract attention.
The most romantic color, pink, is more tranquilizing. Sports teams sometimes paint the locker rooms used by opposing teams bright pink so their opponents will lose energy.

Yellow

Yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy.
Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy. Yellow is often associated with food. Bright, pure yellow is an attention getter, which is the reason taxicabs are painted this color. When overused, yellow may have a disturbing effect; it is known that babies cry more in yellow rooms. Yellow is seen before other colors when placed against black; this combination is often used to issue a warning. In heraldry, yellow indicates honor and loyalty. Later the meaning of yellow was connected with cowardice.
Use yellow to evoke pleasant, cheerful feelings. You can choose yellow to promote children's products and items related to leisure. Yellow is very effective for attracting attention, so use it to highlight the most important elements of your design. Men usually perceive yellow as a very lighthearted, 'childish' color, so it is not recommended to use yellow when selling prestigious, expensive products to men – nobody will buy a yellow business suit or a yellow Mercedes. Yellow is an unstable and spontaneous color, so avoid using yellow if you want to suggest stability and safety. Light yellow tends to disappear into white, so it usually needs a dark color to highlight it. Shades of yellow are visually unappealing because they loose cheerfulness and become dingy.
Dull (dingy) yellow represents caution, decay, sickness, and jealousy.
Light yellow is associated with intellect, freshness, and joy.
Cheerful sunny yellow is an attention getter. While it is considered an optimistic color, people lose their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and babies will cry more. It is the most difficult color for the eye to take in, so it can be overpowering if overused. Yellow enhances concentration, hence its use for legal pads. It also speeds metabolism.

Orange

Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.
To the human eye, orange is a very hot color, so it gives the sensation of heat. Nevertheless, orange is not as aggressive as red. Orange increases oxygen supply to the brain, produces an invigorating effect, and stimulates mental activity. It is highly accepted among young people. As a citrus color, orange is associated with healthy food and stimulates appetite. Orange is the color of fall and harvest. In heraldry, orange is symbolic of strength and endurance.
Orange has very high visibility, so you can use it to catch attention and highlight the most important elements of your design. Orange is very effective for promoting food products and toys.
Dark orange can mean deceit and distrust.
Red-orange corresponds to desire, sexual passion, pleasure, domination, aggression, and thirst for action.
Gold evokes the feeling of prestige. The meaning of gold is illumination, wisdom, and wealth. Gold often symbolizes high quality.

Purple

Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, sophistication and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.
It is also feminine and romantic. However, because it is rare in nature, purple can appear artificial.
According to surveys, almost 75 percent of pre-adolescent children prefer purple to all other colors. Purple is a very rare color in nature; some people consider it to be artificial.
Light purple is a good choice for a feminine design. You can use bright purple when promoting children's products.
Light purple evokes romantic and nostalgic feelings.
Dark purple evokes gloom and sad feelings. It can cause frustration.

Black

Black is associated with power, authority, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Black is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown (black holes). It usually has a negative connotation (blacklist, black humor, 'black death'). Black denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious color (black tie, black Mercedes). In heraldry, black is the symbol of grief. Black gives the feeling of perspective and depth, but a black background diminishes readability. A black suit or dress can make you look thinner. When designing for a gallery of art or photography, you can use a black or gray background to make the other colors stand out. Black contrasts well with bright colors. Combined with red or orange – other very powerful colors – black gives a very aggressive color scheme. It is popular in fashion because it makes people appear thinner. It is also stylish and timeless. Black also implies submission. Priests wear black to signify submission to God. Some fashion experts say a woman wearing black implies submission to men. Black outfits can also be overpowering, or make the wearer seem aloof or evil.

Green Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money.
Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance. Sometimes green denotes lack of experience; for example, a 'greenhorn' is a novice. In heraldry, green indicates growth and hope. Green, as opposed to red, means safety; it is the color of free passage in road traffic.
Use green to indicate safety when advertising drugs and medical products. Green is directly related to nature, so you can use it to promote 'green' products. Dull, darker green is commonly associated with money, the financial world, banking, and Wall Street.
Dark green is associated with ambition, greed, and jealousy.
Yellow-green can indicate sickness, cowardice, discord, and jealousy.
Aqua is associated with emotional healing and protection.
Olive green is the traditional color of peace.
Currently the most popular decorating color, green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. It is a calming, refreshing color. People waiting to appear on TV sit in "green rooms" to relax. Hospitals often use green because it relaxes patients. Brides in the Middle Ages wore green to symbolize fertility. Dark green is masculine, conservative, and implies wealth. However, seamstresses often refuse to use green thread on the eve of a fashion show for fear it will bring bad luck.

Brown

Solid, reliable brown is the color of earth and is abundant in nature. Light brown implies genuineness while dark brown is similar to wood or leather. Brown can also be sad and wistful. Men are more apt to say brown is one of their favorite colors.

White

White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.
White means safety, innocence, purity, and cleanliness. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. White can represent a successful beginning. In heraldry, white depicts faith and purity.
In advertising, white is associated with coolness and cleanliness because it's the color of snow. You can use white to suggest simplicity in high-tech products. White is an appropriate color for charitable organizations; angels are usually imagined wearing white clothes. White is associated with hospitals, doctors, and sterility, so you can use white to suggest safety when promoting medical products. White is often associated with low weight, low-fat food, and dairy products.
White reflects light and is considered a summer color. White is popular in decorating and in fashion because it is light, neutral, and goes with everything.

Blue

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.
Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity.
You can use blue to promote products and services related to cleanliness (water purification filters, cleaning liquids, vodka), air and sky (airlines, airports, air conditioners), water and sea (sea voyages, mineral water). As opposed to emotionally warm colors like red, orange, and yellow; blue is linked to consciousness and intellect. Use blue to suggest precision when promoting high-tech products.
Blue is a masculine color; according to studies, it is highly accepted among males. Dark blue is associated with depth, expertise, and stability; it is a preferred color for corporate America.
Avoid using blue when promoting food and cooking, because blue suppresses appetite. When used together with warm colors like yellow or red, blue can create high-impact, vibrant designs; for example, blue-yellow-red is a perfect color scheme for a superhero.
Light blue is associated with health, healing, tranquility, understanding, and softness.
Dark blue represents knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness.
It causes the opposite reaction as red. Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms. Blue can also be cold and depressing. Fashion consultants recommend wearing blue to job interviews because it symbolizes loyalty. People are more productive in blue rooms. Studies show weightlifters are able to handle heavier weights in blue gyms.

Red
is the color that we pay the most attention to. It is the warmest and most energic color in the spectrum.
We associate red with love, valentines, danger, desire, speed, strength, violence, anger, emergency exit signs, stop signs and blood.

Red would not be the color of choice for psychiatric wards, prisons or a hospital.

In India red is the color of purity (used in wedding outfits).
White is what we see when all colors come together in perfect balance.

In eastern cultures white symbolizes coldness and sterility.

Yellow represents joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, imagination, hope, sunshine, summer, gold, philosophy, dishonesty, cowardice, betrayal, jealousy, covetousness, deceit, illness, hazard, spirtuality and inspiration.
The yellow rose is a symbol of friendship, less passionate or threatening than red ones.
In Asia yellow is sacred, and imperial.

Thought...

The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you...the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

Death and Heartbreaks

I always end up writing about Life and relationships... Cos I feel everything else is in our hands...

We can work hard to get a good job, and get lot of fame, respect, money...
If we want we can be good/better human beings and do good for others...
Basically it is in our hands to make a difference...

However, we cant do much when it comes to being in love with someone, and that person not loving you back the same way...
or Life as such; even if you are driving slow, one can be hit by some other vehicle...
So
one cant fight Death (when its time) and Heartbreaks (when there is no way out)... One just need to face it with a smile!!

Mixed thoughts

Me and Ants again:
Was driving down to my sis's office to drop her... While being in the traffic, I've been thinking about the Ants... So when I looked around, suddenly I said - "We humans are so.. Unorganized Ants".
Sis insisted that I must add this in my Blog... so doing the same :) ... I have nothing else to write about it... Its just a thought... but I guess it does make some sense...

Love/Life and passion for the same:
I was talking to a friend long long ago and he asked me something, which I dont remmeber... But I remember that I said  "I love the feeling of being in love". And he said... that means you are probably not in love with a particular person... you probably just love the feeling of being in love... I'm still trying to analyze myself on that... ;)

Life:
I can see that even with those Big/small Ups-n-Downs in life, I still have the Enthusiasm, that Excitement to Live and to be in Love and keep Family and Friends Happy... to do a little more in life, to see more places, to be a better person, to learn a bit more about my work and about the things that interests me... and bit more everyday...and days to come...

Learning from an Ant...

Guess what!!

Have you watched over an ant..climbing up...and soon as she is about to touch the destination, she fall back to the ground? Sure you know what I am talking about - its a very common site.

So you have also noticed that she wont give up, she - our dear ant - starts all over again! She doesn't even stop for a minute/second to think on "hey I've start all over again now", "oh no! I failed..." or whatever... she just don't stop and starts to climb immediately!!

Amazing na??

Kinda same happened with me - I failed - I fell flat on my face... but unlike ants, I was upset, sad, disappointed..etc...for months!

But guess what... now I've started to walk towards my destination all over again :)
Right from the scratch... and this time I know that I just need to keep doing this - "keep walking towards my destination"...

I was handicap/slave to my own sadness, disappointments...Its a great feeling to break free... I don't feel handicap/slave anymore.!!

Cheers!! Have a great living ahead :)

I'd better let you go...

Nothing hurts more
Than a love that's been and gone,
And even thought it's over.
You're still holding on.

You try to forget the pain inside,
And the fire is still burning,
But their's has already died.

You want to put them behind you,
And what is in the past,
But you can't forget the feeling
Of the love that didn't last.

You can't describe the hurt,
It doesn't want to go.

So if you're reading this,
I thought you'd like to know:From the first day I met you,
I knew I'd love you so.
And if I really, truly love you,
I'd better let you go.

Thinking loud... and clear!!

Guess what... Education/God has made no difference in most of our life and way we think!

No offense to anyone's preferences... but listen to this - an average educated person in India prays to God/bhagawan ji ... but learns nothing from God nor did education made any difference in their life (except for they can talk, give gyan and earn money) - but they will never understand what God really wants or what holy books really teaches... and will always be stuck up with
religion, Cast/Sub cast, India-Pakistan, Hindu-Muslim, boundaries... the list is long... They just dont think on basic human levels!!

I know a lot of educated people who can talk and give great gyan but when it comes to being a good human being - God! they are so lame...

I have been hit by this a few times in my life! And I feel really sorry for such people... I really do, cos they just make their and other's life miserable! They just dont know how to live - One Life dam-it - Live, breath and let live... why you want to rule on others lifes???
(you can see my anger here.. but i just cant help it!)
I wish I could just give a big tight hug to these people, and ask them to relax, to not to complicate life so much... just give them lot of love so that they change...

Thank God that I got a family with mix culture/religion, sound education, which gave me the mind to think on human levels than on religion or north-south or on society levels!

Life again...

Sometimes Life's Just not fair..but I believe the tougher it is, better it get..I'm having great time "Living", so what if has rough edges!

Live as if there is no tomorrow...

I was watching 'I Shouldn't Be Alive' on Discovery Channel...

The story was - Shark Survivor – 1982. Five people get caught in a tropical storm and their yacht sinks. They have to survive in the middle of the ocean on a raft with absolutely no survival equipment for 5-6 days. To their horror they find the area of the ocean to be infested with sharks!! Two of them had hallucinations and jumped in the sea ...and was eaten by sharks. One was injured...and eventually died on the 4th day.

Only
two out of five survived till the end- and the one of them said something like "..You are never more thankful for life than the day you almost died!!!"

I recently came across this song which goes like this....

Tere Sang Ek Simple Si Coffee Bhi Kick Deti Hai
Tere Sang Ye Duniyaa Alag Hi Nazar Aati Hai
Tere Sang Zindagi Jeene Kaa, Lutf Aaye Hamein
O Sanam O Sanam O Sanam..

Tere Sang Chaandni Bhi Zamin Pe Nazar Aati Hai
Tere Sang Meri Deevaanagi Had Se Badh Jaati Hai
Zindagi Jeene Kaa Lutf Aaye Hamein
O Sanam O Sanam O Sanam...

Does age matter??

I'm sure if I was seeing a guy younger to me, alot of people would have probably talked about it! I wonder how does age matter. If you like someone, you get along well...etc... Then why is the age made such a big issue!!?

Love!

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Gotta crush on U!!

Source: poems
I've got a crush on you,
I feel as if I'm a child,
I hope u feel the way that I do!

you make me get butterflies,
you're "sweet",
I like you but I dunno why!

I guess ur just perfect,

may be ur the one for me...

you make me smile,
I think you can see,
that i'm ur not so secret admire;

I dream of things yet so unreal, you and me forever,
may be thats just what i feel and my heart is pushing me to go further;

When I hear ur voice,
it makes me giggle...

because it is almost like we are in our own world,
no other people, just you and me,
forever hold this peace!

When I long to see ur smile,
for a long while,
I get a memory of ur face...

I want to send you love notes,
because I got a crush on you,
and im praying you feel the way I do!

wondering as usual

Life... just one life!

Sometimes things around seems to be so meaningless...

Why everyone is not passionate about life...

What if we had just one day to live...
