Phew! i am still dreamy...

The other day I was telling him that I don’t like him in plain black or white t-shirt… still, he just won’t let them go.

So I've decide to spoil them with lot of kisses marks and scribble lot of mushy notes!!
(continue...) Coming back to my February mood of being in Love...

This morning while driving down to office I got lost- Lost in my fantasy word where things are just perfect, butterflies, pink flowers and love all around.

It all started with this song which goes like "U're my love, my life, my dream...I just wanna spend my life with you.." and then I saw one man carrying lots of pink flowers...
was driving, when I got lost listening to this song... (will write more about this soon...)

The Power of Positive Thinking!I found this article on the Internet. We all know about the power of positive thinking etc. This article is nothing new. However, In addition to what is written below I firmly believe “Its all in the mind!

Key Point:You are what you think. You feel what you want.

Our present attitudes are habits, built from the feedback of parents, friends, society and self, that forms our self-image and our world-image.

These attitudes are maintained by the inner conversations we constantly have with ourselves, both consciously and subconsciously.
The first step in changing our attitudes is to change our inner conversations.

What Should We Be Saying?
One approach is called the three C's: Commitment, Control and Challenge.

Commitment
Make a positive commitment to yourself, to learning, work, family, friends, nature, and other worthwhile causes. Praise yourself and others. Dream of success. Be enthusiastic.

Control
Keep your mind focused on important things. Set goals and priorities for what you think and do. Visualize to practice your actions. Develop a strategy for dealing with problems. Learn to relax. Enjoy successes. Be honest with yourself.
ChallengeBe courageous. Change and improve each day. Do your best and don't look back. See learning and change as opportunities. Try new things. Consider several options. Meet new people. Ask lots of questions. Keep track of your mental and physical health. Be optimistic.
Studies show that people with these characteristics are winners in good times and survivors in hard times.

Research shows that,
"... people who begin consciously to modify their inner conversations and assumptions report an almost immediate improvement in their performance. Their energy increases and things seem to go better ..."

Commitment, control and challenge help build self-esteem and promote positive thinking. Here are some other suggestions.

Suggestions for Building Positive Attitudes
• Look for positive people to associate with.
• Look for one more interesting idea.
• Find one more concept important to you.
• With every friend, explain a new idea you've just learned.
• Ask questions.
• With yourself, keep a list of your goals, positive thoughts and actions.
Remember, you are what you think, you feel what you want
The only song I know-
If you miss the train I’m on, you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles,
A hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles,
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

Lord I’m one, lord I’m two, lord I’m three, lord I’m four,
Lord I’m 500 miles from my home.
500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles
Lord I’m five hundred miles from my home.

Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name
Lord I can’t go a-home this a-way
This a-away, this a-way, this a-way, this a-way,
Lord I can’t go a-home this a-way.

If you miss the train I’m on you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

I learnt this song in 1994 May, Summer adventure camp which is organized every year for Army officers kids. I sooo miss that time...

Relationships

1. Do you need to play 'act-pricy’ games to get some attention? Or relationships are simple?
  • I think we don’t really need to. But sometimes it’s needed; when you feel you are taken for granted.
  • But I am not sure...
2. What is that make a relationship strong?
  • Trust
  • Understanding
  • What else…?
3. I have seen breakups. And I know people give n reasons for why they are breaking up. I am just wondering, how can a person suddenly stop loving someone? What is that one real thing that lead to all these breakups?

February!!

Well… I feel December is the month of Christmas celebrations (in true believer way), spending time with family and friends, shopping, gifts, Red-Green-White color.

Similarly, I feel that February is the month of Red color, gifts, meeting friends and spending time with someone special.

I feel so happy and special already!!

Stabber:
Out of the blue, a fren just said - "I'll tell you one thing... If somebody stabs a knife, you should not hate the knife. You should hate the stabber"
My response to that was - "I so hate that stabber. I wish someone stabs him too!!"
And then he continues - "He is destined for his tomorrow" {He = Stabber}

I probably was mean by saying what I said, but that’s what I felt. And I guess my fren was just supporting me so that I don’t feel guilty for having said what I said.

But I still wonder...
1. Should we hate that 'Stabber'?
2. Or forgive-forget such people?
3. Do people actually pay in future for what they do wrong to others??

Well, I think I will be careful with people now. Don’t want to be stabbed by anyone. Nor do I want to be in a situation where I am paying for what I did wrong to someone in past.

Unconditional Love

My friend sent me a offliner on Yahoo which goes like this-

SN (1/24/2006 9:06:07 PM):
"You learn to like someone when you find out what makes them laugh, but you can never truly love someone until you find out what makes them cry.” "If we don't feel love with our heart, then how come that's where it hurts when someone doesn't love you back." "Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own."

What made me ponder upon the most is the last one -
"Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own."
... My first few thoughts on this were - Oh My God! I wonder if I really love any one on earth... hummm.... my count will go like err... 0 to 2 max!!

How many people you think you really love (in true sense, really unconditional love)... just think about it...

And I dont think we are even careful in using the word 'Love/Adore'. I think we should say or express such feeling in words only when we really mean it and can keep up to it. And if you really do love someone, I dont think you would need to say it in words much; your actions will say it all :)

Weddings...
The first thing that comes in my mind is the beautiful dresses that the bride wears on different days (holds true for Indian weddings).

Life is simple... we complicate it by getting confused.

Probably we all know what is the right path for us... But fear and confusions keep holding us back.

What if, there is no fear and we are bold enough to face life as it comes... will we still take ages to decide which path/way to take?

What is important at the end of the day? Isn't it the 'Peace' that we all look for?
What if this is the last day for me on earth?

There has been time (almost one year) when I was at 100% peace. And I used to keep thanking God for it. I think, I get peace in simple things like nature's beauty, love of friends and family.

If this day was my last day on earth, I don't think I will be spending it in office. I will be with my loved ones in some beautiful place (close to nature).

One life!
- I wonder what the definition of life is. It cannot be same for all... or is it?
- What is that one thing that you want to live for?
- Which is that one place/city/country you would like to spend most of your time?
- How to deal with mistakes of past?
Many such random questions keep coming up in my mind.

...juda hoke bhi tu mujhmein kahi baaki hai,
palkon mein banke aansu tu chali aati hai.

kaise zinda hu ae zindagi bin tere main,
dard hi dard baaki raha hai seene mein,
saans lena bhar hi yaha jeena nahi hain,
ab toh aadat si hai mujhko aaise jeene mein.

juda hoke bhi tu mujhmein kahi baaki hai,
palkon mein banke aansu tu chali aati hai,
saath mere hain tu har pal shab ke andhere mein,
paas mere hain tu har pal ujale savere mein,

dil se dhadkan bhula dena aasan nahi hai,
ab toh aadat si hai mujhko aaise jeene mein.

yeh jo yaadein hai ... sabhi kaatein hai ... hata do inhe, mita do inhe... juda hoke bhi.....

Crusty Demons

On 10th Dec 2005, 6pm IST it was drizzling in Bangalore... I was heading towards Palace Ground to watch Crusty Demons show. My fren and I thought that it probably will stop drizzling; but it didn’t. We were there on time ie 7pm IST. The show did not start before 7:45!! I was already tired waiting in rain for the show to start. The place was not at all well organized. Anyways, Crusty Demons team did a good job and I was really amazed with their stunts.

Love hurts

This I found in a fren's Blog...Really liked the last 4 lines.
Love hurtsNothing hurts more
Than a love that's been and gone,
And even thought it's over.
You're still holding on.
You try to forget the pain inside,
And the fire is still burning,
But their's has already died.
You want to put them behind you,
And what is in the past,
But you can't forget the feeling
Of the love that didn't last.
You can't describe the hurt,
It doesn't want to go.
So if you're reading this,
I thought you'd like to know:
From the first day I met you,
I knew I'd love you so.
And if I really, truly love you,
I'd better let you go.

"Been busy..."

"Been busy..." this is all I have to say when I am unable to meet close friends...or when I fail to take family out on weekends...and so on.

It’s been more than 2 years since I have been working...and I have no time for personal life. In 24 hrs all I am able to do is the 8 hrs office work. Even though I do a good job in managing professional life but I fail to do a good time management in my personal life.

There is so much I want to do besides working; learn some foreign language, join gym, study some books related to my profession, visit places and a lot more.

Life revolves around office... I am sure everyone will agree that there is so much more besides earning money.

Around 4-5 years back I heard Robin Williams, in one of his movies, saying some like- "...noble Professions like engineering, medicine etc are needed to sustain life BUT love, beauty, passion are the essence of life…";
I sooo agree with this!
